Acolchando a la sombrita... / Quilting under the trees...

   Estoy casi recien llegada de mis mini-vacaciones. He estado una semanita en el pueblo. El verano pasado os conté lo que habíamos hecho. ¿Os acordáis de las famosas gallinas? :)

   I have just arrived from my mini-holidays in the country in Spain. Last summer I told you about the summer and the "henhouse" we were sewing. Do you remember? :)

   Este año hemos disfrutado también un montón y hemos cosido un poquito, por supuesto ;)
Hemos ido a pasear entre girasoles...
 
   This year we had also a lot of fun and we found some time to sew of course ;)
We went walking around the sunflower fields... 

Hemos cogido montones de moras para hacer mermelada...
We went blackberry picking for yummy marmalade...

Hemos ido al huerto a por ciruelas...
We went to the orchard and ate loads of plums...

...y a ver si maduraban los tomates...
...and waited for the tomatoes to ripen...



   Pero como os decía también ha habido tiempo para coser un poco. Yo he estado acolchando en la sombrita...
   But there was also some time to sew. And I quilted under the trees...

   Hace unos días estuve preparando el sandwich de esta colcha que os enseñé. Tiene unos colores muy veraniegos, así que decidí empezar a alcolchar...

   I prepared the backing some days ago. The colors are perfect for the summer, and I started quilting...

Bolso de viaje / Travel bag

Bueno, bueno... hace mucho que no paso por aquí, y esto no puede ser! No creais que no he estado haciendo cositas, eh? lo que pasa es que me meto en tantos proyectos, que el tiempo no me da para todo!

Well, well, it's been a long time, but here I am again. I have been working on a lot of projects, but I have started so many in the last months, that I don't have enough time for all of them.

Espero que hayáis disfrutado mucho de la Semana Santa. Yo he estado en el pueblo, disfrutando de las flores...
I hope everyone had a happy Easter. We were in the country, enjoying the flowers...

También he aprovechado para hacer fotos a este bolso de viaje tan precioso, además de práctico, que quiero enseñaros hace tiempo. No lo he hecho yo, aunque ya lo tengo en mi (laaaaaarga) lista de proyectos :) Ya os conté una vez que casi todas mis tías están hechas unas artistas. Pues este bolso lo hizo una de ellas y fue un regalo para mi hermana.

I also had the chance to take a picture of this travel bag, beautiful and very practical, that I always wanted to show you. I didn't made it, it is in my (looooong) to-do-list, though :) I once told you that almost all women in my (big) family are very artsy-crafty. Well, this bag was made by one of my ants, and it was a present for my sister.

Cada vez que lo veo me dan ganas de empezar a hacerme uno corriendo :) pero antes quiero ir terminando todas las cosas que tengo empezadas! :S

Every time I see it I want to start sewing one immediately :) but first I would like to finish some already started projects :S

Hoy os enseño algo más de lo que estuvimos haciendo en el pueblo. Pero primero quiero presentaros a alguien:

Today I would like to show more things that we did last week in the country. But first, let me introduce someone to you:

Esta gallina la hizo una de mis tías en clase de costura. Como todas nos quedamos enamoradas al verla, se le ocurrió la idea de comprar más material y nos propuso hacer una sesión de manualidades en el pueblo y que cada una nos hiciéramos una gallinita.

This beautiful hen was made by my aunt in sewing class. As we inmediately felt in love with her, my aunt decided to buy some more supplies and she organized a "summer seminar" to make more hens.

Así que nos pusimos manos a la obra:

La verdad es que lo hemos pasado muy bien haciéndolas. Habrá que ir planeando otro taller para el verano que viene ;)

We had a lot of fun making them. We will have to plan another "seminar" for next summer :)

Decorando la pared / Wall decoration

Hemos estado en el pueblo unos días y... hemos comido unas cuantas de éstas...
We went to the country for a couple of days and... we ate loads of these...

...hemos ido a por girasoles...
...we went pick some sunflowers...

...hemos comido cosas del huerto...
...we ate veggies from the kitchen garden...

...hemos disfrutado de las flores que había por todas partes...
...we enjoyed the flowers everywhere...

...hemos comido helado de frambuesa y mora en la sombrita...
...we ate raspberry and blackberry ice in the shade...

.... incluso hemos decorado un poco. Así ha quedado la pared de mi habitación. La próxima vez añadiré un par de bastidores más:
... we even decorated a bit. This is how the front wall of my bedroom looks like now. Next time I will add some hoops:
